Een link naar de The Tragically Hip mag hier niet ontbreken. Al jaren mijn favoriete Canadese band. Nu is dat niet erg moeilijk, ik ken niet zoveel bands uit Canada. Vooruit dan: al jaren mijn favoriete buitenlandse band!
Er is muziek die je live moet zien, er is muziek die je thuis in je eentje moet horen. Er is muziek die rockt, er zijn briljante teksten. De goede bands combineren dit allemaal. De teksten van The Hip zijn poëtisch, soms onbegrijpelijk, maar altijd intrigerend. Live zijn The Hip zeker een must. In juli 2006 waren ze nog in Nederland, het zal helaas waarschijnlijk een paar jaar duren voordat ze weer komen :-(
